I Think Safeway Hates Coupons!

So, I'm sure many of you have gotten this message in your inbox from Cellfire:

Dear valued members,

We have an important change to the Cellfire service that will affect your membership. Starting today, Thursday, Nov. 4th, Cellfire will no longer offer our coupons for use at Safeway. Safeway has decided to discontinue use of Cellfire’s save-to-card services. If you currently have Cellfire coupons saved to your Safeway card they will continue to be redeemable until their expiration date.

We continue to offer Cellfire save-to-card coupons at all Kroger-owned stores, ShopRite, Giant Eagle, and SHOP ‘n SAVE. And, we look to add additional stores in the coming months. Kroger-owned stores include: Ralph’s, King Soopers, City Market, Dillons, Smith’s, Fry’s, QFC, Baker’s, Owen’s, JayC, Hilander, Gerbes, Pay Less, Scott’s, and Fred Meyer. If you have one of these supported stores in your area please add your loyalty card to your Cellfire account to start saving coupons immediately. We apologize for this inconvenience and will let you know of any future changes.

I personally have not shopped at Safeway, for weeks. They have been very negative toward myself and other couponers. Not accepting e-coupons is just another reason that I will not shop there. I'm sure Shortcuts and P&G Esaver will be the next thing they will no longer accept.

I think we as couponers, need to bombard Safeway's corporate office with our feelings about dropping Cellfire and treating couponers like criminals. Now this is not just about Cellfire. I know that Cellfire is not 100% guaranteed to work. But, those extra savings were a nice surprise. I've also had people tell me that their Safeway is not accepting printable coupons any longer.
