I'll admit, I'm not a huge fan of breakfast time! I'm always in such a hurry so I usually grab a breakfast bar or bagel. But, I love having breakfast for dinner!
Recently, my family had the chance to head over to IHOP and try their new Signature Pancakes...for dinner!
The yummy new flavors include:
· Red Velvet – Rich, chocolaty red velvet pancakes, drizzled with cream cheese icing, a dusting of powdered sugar and crowned with whipped topping.
· Sweet Strawberry – Fluffy famous buttermilk pancakes crowned with cool strawberries in glaze, drizzled with cream cheese icing and crowned with whipped topping.
· Whole Wheat Pancakes with Banana – Wholesome and lightly sweet fluffy whole wheat pancakes topped with fresh sliced bananas.
I decided on the Red Velvet. What girl doesn't like chocolate, right? The pancakes were very moist and really reminded me of a cupcake. There was just enough cream cheese icing and whipped topping, that I didn't even need to add any syrup. I had a side of eggs and bacon to make up the perfect meal.
My husband tried the Whole Wheat with Banana pancakes. The actual presentation was a little sloppy and nothing compared to the picture. But, he wasn't too concerned about that because he said the pancakes were a little sweet with a slight nutty taste and he really enjoyed them. He is pretty traditional and slathered them with original syrup.
We had our two boys with us and were pleasantly surprised that from 4-6 kids eat free! So, since we ordered two adult meals, we received both of the boys kids meals...FREE! I love thrifty meals and this definitely was one...along with the tasty selection of new pancakes!
