Review: LongHorn Steakhouse is Coming To Arizona!

I've heard of LongHorn Steakhouse but I've never tried it...until last Thursday! I was invited to a preview of the new restaurant that is opening Tuesday December 11th at 11am! It is located in Mesa outside of Fiesta Mall.

When I walked in, the first thing that caught my eye was the decor. It reminded me of a fancy hunting lodge that you would see on television. I took my sister with me and we were greeted by staff that was very friendly.

Wild West Shrimp

After we were escorted to our seats, our server brought out some yummy appetizers. The Wild West Shrimp and Grilled White Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms. They were both amazing! Mushrooms and shrimp are two of my favorite foods, next to bacon.



For our main course we received...3 main courses. That was a huge surprise. LongHorn wanted to make sure that we had the chance to try the 3 most popular menu items.



Flo's Fillet

 ·         Flo’s Fillet – The fillet was so tender you could cut it with your fork.









LongHorn Salmon

 ·         LongHorn Salmon – Hand-cut, fresh Atlantic Salmon is marinated in a bourbon marinade. I'm pretty picky about salmon but this salmon was cooked perfectly and had great flavor.





·         Parmesan Crusted Chicken – Topped with a cheesy, crunchy Parmesan and garlic cheese crust. The chicken was very moist and flavorful!

To top the whole meal off we had the LongHorn Dessert Sampler: Chocolate Stampede, Caramel Apple Goldrush and Mountain Top Cheesecake. My favorite was the Chocolate Stampede! You can't go wrong with chocolate.

While we were enjoying our desserts, an unexpected treat was being entertained by country music artist David Nail. It was a great ending to a great night!



LongHorn will hopefully be opening more locations in Arizona soon. The general manager shared with us that they do all they can to support the local community. Whenever they have unused food in the kitchen, they donate it to a local food bank. I love that they don't just throw out perfectly good food!

I live about 30-40 minutes away from this LongHorn in Mesa. Would I drive that far for their steak? Yes. It was a fun casual environment with amazing food. I'm definitely hoping they open one in North Phoenix! (Hint, Hint)
